WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.  It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Name of product: E-Z-GO TXT, Freedom TXT and Shuttle 2+2 TXT golf cars, E-Z-GO Valor, E-Z-GO Express and E-Z-GO Terrain vehicles, Cushman Shuttle vehicles, Cushman Hauler vehicles, Cushman Refresher vehicles, and Bad Boy Buggies HD, LD and LTO off-road utility vehicles

Manufacturer: E-Z-GO Division of Textron Inc. of Augusta, Ga.

Hazard: The steering wheel nut might not have been tightened sufficiently, reducing steering control.  This can result in a crash.

Incidents/Injuries: The firm is aware of one incident and one injury that may be related to this issue.

Description: The recalled vehicles are gas- and electric-powered, four-wheeled vehicles with bench seats for the driver and passengers. The following models are included:
